Hey what's up! I'm Frizuo and this little game here is Dive the Depths, my love letter to roguelites and exploration games.

Dive the Depths is an underwater exploration/survival roguelite game. Every run you play as a diver going through the vast oocean, finding strange creatures, powerful items and intimidating bosses. The underwater setting of the game was inspired by games like Subnautica and Terraria Calamity Mod's abyss biome. I've always wanted to make a game set underwater or in space because of that mysterious aspect of them.  Hopefully I'll be able to fully encapsulate this feeling for you all to experience :D

The game started off in september as a quick test for an idea, and now that it's 2024, I'm working full time on it. Below you can see what the game looked like in september when I just started working on it.

The game's definitely come a long way, but I'm still far from done ;)

This itch build is an early Minimum Viable Product. In the future I will be updating this build once in while, eventually leading up to the final release!
